The popular catchphrases ‘Amaniki-niki and ‘Danko’ are becoming known globally as amapiano takes the music world by storm.
Gaining momentum in 2017, amapiano has become known, not just for its distinct bass beats, but for the dances that go with the flow of the music.
South African locals have witnessed new fresh-cut artists, dancers and deejays taking up space in the genre including the likes of Durban Gogo, Kamo Mphela, Focalistic and Mr Jazzi Q.
The amapiano scene has become a music movement that has connected a community from across the board. Tik tokers and social media users are constantly showing off their new dance moves to the amapiano sound.
