‘KwaMbonambi Primary School is ecstatic to be celebrating 75 years this year. The school opened its doors in 1947 to a very small group of pupils, mainly from the town of KwaMbonambi.

‘Today, the school serves a wider community in which our learners live.

‘We are proud to be at a school that is 75 years old. Our aim is to restore the good condition of the school and upgrade it further,’ said school principal Mrs C Pillay.

The school recently hosted a fun golf day at KwaMbonambi Golf Club to help raise funds to host its anniversary celebrations.

‘Our closing celebratory event will be our banquet evening where we will invite our sponsors and dignitaries from other government departments.

This will take place in October.

‘We hope to achieve our goals as we aspire to be a school of excellence, educating our learners for the 4th

Industrial revolution,’ added Pillay.
