Watching the aggression and purpose as the NRB boys trained this week, it’s hard to see anything but a clear win, which they will need as arch rivals Tuks travel south for a tricky assignment against Cape Town Spurs.
The following Sunday, 15 May, sees NRB also facing Cape Town Spurs while the Pretoria outfit has another potential deathtrap against Hungry Lions.
But while it seems just a two horse race between the Rich Boyz and Tuks – level on 50 points and separated by goal difference – for the number
one spot, Cape Town All Stars have silently worked their way to 47 points and third place.
Last time out they thrashed TTM 5-0 and, should they win both remaining games and NRB and Tuks lose both of theirs, there could be a major upset.
But that possibility is remote; I see Pitso Dladla’s charges winning both their fixtures well, and Tuks surrendering at least one point.
The irony is that Hungry Lions (11th), CT Spurs (13th) and TS Sporting (15th) hold the keys to the PSL kingdom.
