VACANCY: FIXED-TERM CONTRACT

The Richards Bay Technical Training & Assessment Centre (RBTTAC) requires the services of a Centre Coordinator and Centre Receptionist-Administrator.

CENTRE COORDINATOR

  • PERMANENT/CONTRACT: 12-MONTH FIXED-TERM CONTRACT
  • REPORTS TO CENTRE MANAGER
  • LOCATION: SOUTH32 ESD CENTRE
 MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities and events of the centre
  • Assist interested users with understanding the document requirements and bringing the relevant registration documents (CIPC documents, BBBEE affidavit, etc.)
  • Assist users with logging into equipment, printing of documents or setting up email accounts
  • Where users are not fully computer literate, assisting users to navigate the available information to secure what they need
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the user stations at all times, ensuring they are ready for the next user
  • Communicating any technical issues (e.g., a broken computer, faulty mouse) to the Centre Administrator for logging with the suitable maintenance team
  • Provide weekly reports to the Centre Manager
  • Coordination of all supporting activities
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • NQF Level 7 Qualification (Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diplomas, Post-Graduate Certificate and B-tech) education level
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Curious and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Driver’s licence
  • Good ICT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft packages

CENTRE RECEPTIONIST-ADMINISTRATOR

  • PERMANENT/CONTRACT: 12-MONTH FIXED-TERM CONTRACT
  • REPORTS TO CENTRE COORDINATOR
  • LOCATION: SOUTH32 ESD CENTRE
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
  • Mind the reception area, greet and direct visitors or delegates attending various training programmes or meetings
  • Support the Centre Coordinator by being up to date on the daily bookings of venues
  • Booking of meeting rooms on behalf of all building users
  • Manage walk-in register, which will form part of the monthly usage reports
  • Update noticeboards with relevant information and opportunities
  • Provide support to the office staff
  • Responsible for COVID-19 protocols
  • Maintain kitchen consumables
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • NQF Level 5 Qualification (Higher Certificate) education level
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  1. Good computer skills in Microsoft Office to be able to assist with navigation across multiple Microsoft programmes
  2. Relevant qualifications/certification
  3. Customer service experience
  4. Oral and written communication skills
SOFTER SKILLS
  1. Confident individual that is comfortable initiating conversations with new people
  2. Friendly and warm, allowing users to feel comfortable asking for help
  3. Open to learning based on the types of queries users are asking
  4. Self-starter with good self-management
  5. Excellent verbal and written skills
  6. Good problem-solving skills
  7. Time management skills
