WATCH: Zululanders take to the polls to make their mark

Voting day got off to a fairly slow start across the City of uMhlathuze

Voting day got off to a fairly slow start across the City of uMhlathuze, with voters trickling in to the polling stations at which they were registered.

Some stations, including Aquadene and the Empangeni Civic Centre, were late opening, with the latter only able to receive voters from 8am.

The turnout at St Andrews Church polling station in Meerensee was steady, and the station opened on time, while at John Ross College, voters took their time to start arriving.

Voting ran smoothly from the get go at Nhlamvana High School polling station in eSikhaleni, which opened on time and saw a steady stream of citizens arriving to mark their ballots.

In ward 25 at Qhubandaba voting station, citizens were eager to make their mark.
