City of uMhlathuze back online

AFTER three days of downtime, the uMhlathuze Municipality’s internet is back up and running.

This was confirmed by the municipal communications manager Mdu Ncalane who said their systems returned a short while ago (Friday).

While the reason for the extended downtime is not known, the municipality was unable to send or receive external emails from Tuesday.

The internet outage had also affected public Wifi hot spots across the city.

These networks at community halls and libraries are once again open for connectivity.
