‘The boxes are clearly marked and we have listed the items that we most need when making up food parcels,’ said Dice operations manager Karen Dalton.

‘We are praying that locals give generously as the number of people asking for help has been growing steadily over the Covid period.
‘Special thanks go to Spar owner Harry Giannacopoulos and his management teams for permitting us to place the boxes in their stores.’
Karen’s message to shoppers is: ‘We know these are tough times for everyone, but please spare a thought for those in far worse circumstances.’
Karen said a number of people had played a part in the collection box project, initiated and supported by various ZO staff including Richard Springorum who built the boxes thanks to BBS Mica who donated the materials, and Emprint who printed and laminated the posters.
