INCLEMENT weather saw the cancellation on Sunday of the season opening sail past at the Zululand Yacht Club.
Traditionally, yacht crews sail down the canal, saluting as they pass the commodore, who stands on a floating platform and
acknowledges the gesture.

While the ‘down’ ride is always respectful and orderly, chaos erupts on the return trip and boats bombard each other and the commodore with foam, water balloons, flour and every manner of ‘ammunition’ available.
