Five suspects nabbed with counterfeit goods

KwaMsane SAPS intercepted the movement of counterfeit goods en route to Durban on Thursday during a police operation on the N2 near Mtubatuba.

Five suspects were arrested in possession with a number of counterfeit items, including Adidas and other branded shoes.

‘A Toyota Quantum, which had been travelling at high speed, was stopped along KwaManandi,’ said KwaMsane police spokesperson, captain Jabulani Mdletshe.

‘During the search of the vehicle, bags filled with counterfeit items were found.’

The suspects appeared at the KwaMsane Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
