Surf-ski series back in action
Local surf-ski series will go ahead next month
IT’S great news for the local paddling fraternity as Level 1 will allow the annual Kenart Platinum Zululand Kayak Club (ZKC) surf-ski series to proceed, with the first race on Saturday, 10 October starting at ZKC at 9am.
There will be a 12 to 15km long course route, and a 6km short course route, with registration taking place at 8am on race day.

The next three races are on consecutive Saturdays; 17, 24 and 31 October, all starting and ending at ZKC.
The final race will include an 8km trail run/walk, hosted by the Richards Bay Athletics Club, at a cost of R80 per entrant, or R40 for children under 12.
There will also be a potjie competition to wrap up the series.
Surfski participants can sign up for the four races at a once-off cost of R250 for registration.
Race costs are then R30 per race for club members, and R60 per race for non-members.
