Two gunmen opened fire on the victims at close range

TWO men survived a hail of bullets in the Empangeni central business district this afternoon (Tuesday) when they were fired at by two gunmen at a petrol station.

The victims were about to leave the petrol station in Hancock Avenue when a white Toyota Corolla stopped in front of their vehicle.

Two gunmen jumped out of the Corolla and opened fire at close range.

The wounded victims were treated at the scene and rushed to hospital.

Two cases of attempted murder are being investigated by Empangeni police.
