RICHARDS Bay ultra-distance runner Nontu Mghabi has been nominated as a finalist in the ‘African Woman in Sport’ category of the prestigious Momentum GSports awards created to celebrate and promote women in sport.
Nontu has achieved two great milestones this year – the only South African woman to complete the World Marathon Challenge and she participated in the virtual Comrades Marathon.

In both events she managed to raise a substantial amount of money for a school in Mtubatuba.
Now is the time to help Nontu cross the finish line one more time by voting for our local hero.
One awesome thing is that Nontu said she will donate all her winnings to the cause ‘Go Beyond For a Child’ if she wins.
