Police search for deceased man’s next of kin

The man is believed to have been kidnapped elsewhere and killed in Mkhunyane Reserve

MTUNZINI police are looking for the next of kin of an unidentified man found dead in the Mkhunyane Reserve on Friday, 19 June.

King Cetshwayo police cluster spokesperson, Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose, said the deceased was found with multiple gunshot wounds.

‘He has not been identified and is unknown in the area. We believe he was kidnapped elsewhere and killed in the Mkhunyane Reserve.

‘The deceased is estimated to be 35 years of age and of medium build. He was wearing black jeans, a formal brown blazer and black Nike takkies,’ Mdlalose said.

A case of murder was registered at the Mtunzini police station for investigation.

‘We urge anyone who might have information or who might have known the deceased to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Mzomuhle Dube, on 072 4719682, or visit the Mtunzini detectives branch,’ Mdlalose said.
