Food parcel drive brings relief in rural Ngwelezana
Food parcels were donated to families in the uMhlanga, eNqutshini and Nqolothi reserves
WHILE the world battles with the coronavirus pandemic, many breadwinners lose their jobs and are unable to feed their families.
Locally, the Isigqi Development Foundation continues to assist stressed families to put food on the table in these difficult times.

Led by founder Celinkosi Ndiyaza, the organisation recently reached many needy people in Ngwelezana.
Tons of food parcels were donated to families in the uMhlanga, eNqutshini and Nqolothi reserves.
‘Most of the beneficiaries have lost their jobs and are unable to feed their families. We work closely with councillors who identify aid recipients.
‘In Ward 29 we focused on those families who don’t receive grants and are not supported by other relief initiatives,’ said Ndiyaza.
He said the food drive would soon reach the Ndabayakhe area.
Ndiyaza urged donors to make contributions to ensure a wider reach and he hopes to form partnerships with other foundations.
‘If we can work as a collective, we can reach more people. At the end of the day it’s not about glory for a certain organisation, but about assisting our people.’
