eSikhaleni woman kidnapped, raped and killed
The deceased was abducted at gunpoint by an unknown man
THE body of a 30-year-old woman who was kidnapped from her home in eMpembeni outside eSikhaleni last Sunday night, was found in the bushes not far from her home.
The deceased, Nonhlanhla Mthiyane, was abducted at gunpoint by an unknown man.

The deceased’s brother, Senzo Hlatshwayo, said his sister was sleeping in the same room as her grandmother and eight-year old son.
‘I was not at home at the time, but later heard that the man first knocked on the door, and then kicked it open when my grandmother switched on the lights.
‘He ordered the boy to switch off the light again and dragged my sister out.
‘My grandmother and the boy were too scared to call the police and waited until the next morning before doing so,’ Hlatshwayo said.
‘During a search, Nonhlanhla’s body was found in a bush not far from the home.
‘It appears as if she was raped, strangled and shot once on the upper body.
‘A used condom was found at the scene.’
Police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbhele, said a case of murder was registered at eSikhaleni SAPS for investigation.
