Numerous empty cartridges, as well as one projectile, were found on the scene.

Family members reported that a group of unknown men was spotted fleeing the premises shortly after the gunshots were heard.

Zungu leaves behind one son and an elderly mother.

His colleague Yolanda Thompson, described him as a friendly and hard-working individual who always went the extra mile.

‘He would notice immediately if you were different and ask if you are ok. And he would always listen to your story.

‘That Thursday afternoon I still had a good laugh with him and later that night I received the terrible news from my boss.

He confirmed that a motive for the murder was not yet established.

‘Ray always knew exactly what I wanted to be done. His work was carried out with absolute precision, passion, and honesty.

‘Ray, my friend, may you rest in peace, and thank you so much for what you have meant to me, my family, my friends, and everyone around the company. You will be dearly missed.’
