What’s on in Empangeni and Richards Bay this weekend

There are many entertainment activities to choose from

FROM a march for equality this afternoon (Friday) in Richards Bay to a flea market in eSikhaleni and a food and wine tasting event at the Zululand Yacht Club, this weekend certainly holds a variety of activities to look forward to.

Friday, 3pm – JOIN the march for equality from the City of uMhlathuze municipal offices in Richards Bay to the police station.
The aim of the march is to encourage all community members to unite under a common goal – equality.
Community-friendly placards are encouraged.

Saturday, 7am ’til late – The eSikhaleni flea market at the complex next to Build It hardware. Shop ’til you drop for clothes, shoes, building material, furniture, vegetables and fruits, and much more.

Saturday, 11am – The Sizzle City food and wine tasting event is being held at the Zululand Yacht Club. Scrumptious food and delicious wine by various chefs will be on offer, with loads of entertainment.

Saturday, 6pmTAKE NOTE and Zeerover will be wowing the crowds in Meerensee with their musical talent at a charity drive in aid of the Richards Bay SPCA.
The event is set to take place at Indaba Lodge.
Tickets are R100 per person of which R20 per ticket will be donated to the animal welfare organisation.
There will be snack platters and craft drinks available.
Donations including dog and cat, puppy and kitten food, pet blankets, toys or bowls would be appreciated and those attending the event stand a chance of winning a two-night ‘lazy weekend stay’ for two.
