Call for nominations to iSimangaliso board

The closing date is Tuesday (1 October)

THE Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries is inviting the public to nominate suitable persons to be appointed to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park’s board.

The closing date is 1 October.

Minister Barbara Creecy has called for the nominations under Section 14 of the World Heritage Convention Act (Act No 49 of 1999).

The nominations must include an acceptance letter of the nominee, curriculum vitae with personal details, including postal and residential addresses, and contact number of the nominee.

Certified copies of all academic qualifications and other relevant documentation, as well as details of experience with reference to the criteria contained in the Act, must also be supplied.

Nominations must be received within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice in the Government Gazette (16 September).

Nominations can be posted to The Director General, Department of Environmental Affairs, (for attention Sibongiseni Sangqu), Private Bag X447, Pretoria, 0001.

They may also be hand delivered to Environment House, 473 Steve Bíko Road, Arcadia, Pretoria, or emailed to isimangalisoboard@environment.gov.za.

Nominations received after the closing may be disregarded.
