Women stop the traffic

The #AllWomenRoadBlock will continue in different parts of Zululand until the end of the month to honour women

IN support of Women’s Month, law enforcement authorities have teamed up with community organisations to conduct roadblocks and distribute awareness pamphlets about road safety and women’s wellness across the City of uMhlathuze.

Richards Bay SAPS and City of uMhlathuze traffic department officers were joined by Richards Bay community policing forums, non-profit organisations LifeLine Zululand and human trafficking awareness project Freedom Generation, at a roadblock on the John Ross highway on Wednesday.

They distributed pamphlets on substance abuse and domestic violence and recognised the enormous and critical role that women play in nation building.

The #AllWomenRoadBlock will continue in different parts of Zululand until the end of the month to honour women.
