Mzingazi community attacks thugs

Mzingazi community lash out at criminals

A 20 year old man was stabbed to death in Mzingazi.

Vee Sibanyoni, a graphics design student at a university in Durban, sadly succumbed to his stab wounds after he was allegedly attacked by an Mzingazi thug known as ‘Dlamini Boy’.

According to Community Policing Forum member Sharon Mdletshe, Mzingazi community members are tired of the violence, theft and crime in the area.

‘The community attacked Dlamini Boy after he stabbed Vee.

‘They hit him badly and he is now recovering at Ngwelezana Hospital.

‘I am sure he will be arrested for the killing.

‘The Sibanyoni family are extremely distraught after losing their child,’ said Mdletshe.

In a second incident over the same weekend the community again expressed their anger towards a notorious alleged young thief in the area.

According to Mdletshe, Themba Mhlongo was severely beaten up by community members who caught him housebreaking.

‘Every weekend another young life is lost.

‘These are young boys who are ruining their futures.

‘The worst part is that family members of these criminals suffer.

‘Parents are victimised by the community for their children’s sins.

‘Gone are the days where the sins of the father fall on the children, it is now the sins of the children that fall on their parents,’ said Mdletshe.
