Welcome boost for informal businesses
Business owners received donations to support their enterprises
SMALL business owners in Somkhele near Mtubatuba received a welcome boost for their enterprises at a recent handover.
Forming part of the province’s empowerment programme for informal businesses, the handover saw catering business owners receive dishware, events business owners receive chairs, and others received wheelbarrows and other gardening implements.
In December the KZN Department of Small Business Development pledged to hand over tools and equipment to small business owners in the province.
The recipients are among 7 848 who applied for the department’s informal and micro enterprise development programme.
