Zest WEG has many reasons to celebrate

Zest WEG Richards Bay celebrates the branch’s 21-year anniversary, its first year at its  new premises in Alumina Allee, as well as the appointment of a new CEO.

Zest WEG Group CEO Mr Siegfried Kreutzfeld visited the branch during its celebratory function on Friday, 15 February. Mr Kreutzfeld was appointed as the new CEO in December 2018.

An electrical engineer by profession with many years’ experience in the company, Mr Kreutzfeld previously worked for WEG in Brazil and China, and he therefore brings an abundance of knowledge and expertise to the group’s African operation.

Mr Kreutzfeld told guests how proud he is to head Zest WEG Group, having started his career at the company more than 30 years ago.

He said that Zest WEG Group has the potential and technology to grow its footprint across Africa, especially in South Africa where there is a huge electricity problem.

The time has come to think of better solutions and introduce better efficiency models to address the need for sustainable energy.

Almond added that their recently appointed external sales engineer, Phenton Govender, is evidence of the success they continue to strive for.

The value that he adds will only deepen and strengthen our commitment to our customers.

The Richards Bay branch is further supported by excellent staff, which includes Sonet Lamont, who manages internal sales and related processes; Lourens Mieny, who renders the technical expertise as their senior technician; and Antwanette Clifton Smith, who handles the reception and branch administration.

From single product installations to individually customised solutions, which are application specific, the latest technology is used to ensure optimum performance and reliability without compromising on energy efficiency.

This is further demonstrated, for example, in the launch of the WEG Motor Scan which is a performance monitoring solution for electric motors.

The motor operating data is extracted and sent to a cloud, making preventive maintenance easy and avoiding the risk of unplanned downtime.
