Hluhluwe teen boy drowns while swimming in a quarry

A HLUHLUWE boy lost his life last week as he drowned while swimming in a quarry.

In a statement issued by Richards Bay NSRI Station 19, the boy (13) disappeared under water at about 5pm on Saturday.

Police search and rescue divers recovered the body on Sunday morning.

Circumstances surrounding the death are unknown and Hluhluwe SAPS have opened an inquest docket.
