Gate times for game parks
These gate opening and closing times are strictly enforced and transgressors will be charged hefty fines
VISITORS to the region’s game reserves and wetland park should note the following gate times:
iSimangaliso Wetland Park: April – October 6am to 6pm, November – March 5am to 7pm.
Reception hours are from 8am to 4pm Mondays to Saturdays and 7am to 3pm on Sundays.
These gates include Maphelane, Eastern Shores (Bhangazi gate), Western Shores (Dukuduku gate), False Bay, Mkhuze Game Reserve (Ophansi and eMshopi gates) and Sodwana Bay.
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park: March – October 6am to 6pm, November – February 5am to 7pm.
Ithala Game Reserve: March – October 6am to 6pm, November – February 5am to 7pm.
