Empangeni weekly market kicks off
The market has been launched in the hope of growing the spirit of 'ubuntu' in Empangeni
EMPANGENI residents can expect a host of activities at an Entrepreneurs Market which we be held in Union Street on Saturday.
According to organiser, Asima Moola, the intention is to hold this market every Saturday of the month.
‘We want to make this a weekly market, subject to the availability of vendors of course.
‘This market is for community upliftment – a market for the people by the people.
‘We welcome vendors from all walks of life with the intention of growing the spirit of ‘ubuntu’ among members of the Zululand community.’
Moosa said the first market was held last week Saturday and received good support from the public.
She urged members of the community to come out and support the second market, held on Saturday (1 December 2018) at 23 Union Street Moola Centre Empangeni .
‘We have a wide range of vendors joining us this Saturday, so we hope the Zululand community will show their support for local entrepreneurs.
