Water interruptions in Empangeni on Saturday

EMPANGENI residents should note that interruptions to the town’s water supply will occur between 1 and 6pm on Saturday.

This as the municipality has finally heeded calls to repair three major water leaks which have wasted millions of litres of water this year alone.

The ZO has repeatedly reported on the leaks which are situated near the Magazulu Reservoir, which feeds Empangeni with water.

According to city spokesperson, Mdu Ncalane, city engineers will do maintenance work at the Magazulu pump and gravity pipeline.

Ncalane said the following areas would be affected:

• Empangeni CBD
• Noordsig
• Panorama
• Parts of Kildare
• Parts of Hillview
