THE sound of a gunshot echoed across the eMzingwenya area in eSikhaleni on Wednesday night following a quarrel between two men over a woman.
Soon after the shooting at 8pm, a bloodied Senzeni Zephania Ntuli (33) was found clinging to life next to his rental cottage opposite Dlamvuzo High School.
Neighbours rushed him to Phaphamani Clinic, but he died on arrival.

According to witnesses, Ntuli was shot by a man believed to be his girlfriend’s fiancé.
It is said the duo had a confrontation over the woman, which lead to the shooting.
A suspect was soon arrested, but was released after appearing in the eSikhawini District Court on Friday morning as no evidence tied him to the shooting.
