GOLFERS dropped their rods and grabbed their clubs when they participated in the Zululand Ladies Shore Angling Association golf day held on Saturday at the Empangeni Country Club.
But father and son combination of Andrew and Brian Goddard proved lethal when they won the day with a total of 42 points.
All funds raised went towards the ladies’ tour to Langebaan in February.
Golfers followed a 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford format over 18 holes, which resulted in quality golf being played and a high level of competition.
In the end, there was a count out for second and third place.
‘Thank you to all our sponsors, especially Lake Eland Reserve,’ said organiser Janien Pereira.
