Mdlalose said the police members questioned a man at the homestead where the trailer was parked

ESHOWE police are investigating a case of murder after the discovery of a body of a man inside a parked vehicle in Osborne Road on Tuesday evening.

According to King Cetshwayo Cluster Police spokesperson, Capt Mbongeni Mdlalose, eShowe SAPS were alerted about the parked vehicle at approximately 8:30pm by Tracker, who reported that the Mercedes-Bens minibus had been hijacked in Mandeni earlier in the day.

‘Upon inspection, police found the body of a 24-year-old man in the back seat. He had been shot once in the neck with what we presume was a 9mm handgun.

‘He claimed his friend brought the trailer there. The friend was also questioned and the duo could not provide satisfactory answers and were arrested.’

Both suspects will remain in custody while police conduct further investigations.
