Zululand Boxing promoter seeks assistance

Calls for municipalities to lend a hand

LOCAL boxing promoter, Thulani ‘Dr 3 Seconds’ Nkwanyana has urged local municipalities, including the City of uMhlathuze to help him take boxing to a higher level.

A former professional boxer, Nkwanyana said the staging of boxing promotions in the district will immensely benefit all clubs and boxers in the King Cetshwayo District.

‘There are many boxers who have not been active, due to a drought of boxing tournaments in the region, owing to a lack of promoters.

‘Some of these boxers have decided to migrate to Durban and Gauteng, to further their boxing careers.

‘My main mission is to ensure that all these boxers remain here in the city.
