CITY of uMhlathuze has confirmed the passing of the Council Speaker Cllr. Mfundo Mthenjana.
City’s Communications Manager Mdu Ncalane said the city was saddened by the passing of Cllr.
Mthenjana in the early hours of this morning in Richards Bay hospital, after a short illness.

The charismatic Mthenjana first served distinctly as a Ward 22 Councillor from 2011 to 2016, which is at eSikhaleni where he was born.
‘ A young and astute political leader, Mthenjana was proving to be a future leader in the society and in the local government sphere and was well versed with government matters and prescripts.’
No funeral arrangements had been planned as yet.
