There are some of beautiful dogs and cats up for adoption at the Richards Bay SPCA.
Anyone wanting to adopt one can contact the SPCA on 035 753 2086, or visit them at their premises in Bayview Boulevard.
Strict adoption procedure applies.
Prospective owners must complete an adoption application form, after which SPCA inspectors undertake a property inspection.
If approved, the following fees apply – R750 for dogs and R550 for cats.
This is a once-off fee which includes your new pet’s first 5-in-1 vaccination, rabies vaccination, de-worming, sterilisation (if older than six months) and given a SPCA identification tag.
For pets adopted at younger than six months of age, a sterilisation contract applies.
The SPCA is always in need of donations, whether food, money or items that can be sold in their shops on monthly market days.
Anyone who wants to donate can take their items to the SPCA premises in Meerensee.
