Quiet beach on Boxing Day
With no emergencies or major issues reported, Richards Bay's beaches and surrounding areas appear to have experienced a quiet Christmas weekend
DESPITE expectations of thousands of visitors descending on Alkantstrand over the Christmas weekend, there was a much lower than expected turnout, particularly yesterday (Tuesday), with the Day of Goodwill traditionally being the day our coastline is flooded with beachgoers.
With no emergencies or major issues reported, Richards Bay’s beaches and surrounding areas appear to have experienced a quiet Christmas weekend.
Whether the weather put off many potential beachgoers or whether many simply chose to stay at home, festivities fizzled out this Christmas.
