SHOP owners and staff members at various retail outlets at Empangeni’s Sanlam Centre have been left distraught after yet another heist at one of the centre’s jewellery stores this morning.
The ZO understands that at approximately 11:40am four suspects entered NWJ Jewellers on the second floor.

They broke the glass casings and took an undisclosed number of jewellery before fleeing the scene.
Most shop owners that the ZO spoke to said they heard the glass breaking and immediately closed their doors.
No one was injured in the incident.

Police confirmed that the getaway vehicle had a NRB registration number plate and they are working to track the vehicle.
In January this year a similar heist was pulled off at NWJ Jewellers and in July American Swiss also fell victim to a business robbery.
