WATCH: Spring snow for much of KZN

This latest cold snap has turned our inland regions into spring-time winter wonderlands

WHILE recent hot weather had us believing the sweltering Zululand summer had arrived, the current cold front has reminded us that summer in South Africa can be unpredictable.

This after much of KZN has experienced strong winds since yesterday, necessitating the lifting of shark nets and our beaches being closed to bathers.

Heavy rain with the possibility of floods or, for our inland areas, smatterings of snow have been predicted.

Yes, snow in November.

Reporting from just outside Underberg, Snow Report SA earlier today said that snow was starting to settle on the golf course and covering the trees at Drakensberg Gardens, with heavier snowfalls further inland.
