Sad farewell for young horror crash victims

TWO of the three people who died in an accident last week Sunday near Macekane were laid to rest at the weekend.
Sphamandla Mathula (23), Thulani ‘Manunu’ Sibiya (29) and Nami Mbokazi (27) died following the horror crash.
Mathula was laid to rest on Saturday while Sibiya was laid to rest yesterday.

Sibiya would have celebrated his 30th birthday on the 18 December while Mbokazi would have turned 28 on 25 December.
Sanele Gcongo and Nhlakanipho Xaba escaped the accident relatively unscathed.
It was incorrectly reported last week that four people had died in the accident.
The Zululand Observer apologises unreservedly to Mr Thabani Sibiya, who was wrongly named as one of the deceased but in fact was not an occupant in the vehicle involved in the tragic accident.
