St Lucia beach temporary closure

Estimated completion date is the end of October

CONSTRUCTION work has now commenced at St Lucia’s Ingwe Beach, and the new boat on-ramp stabilisation (log wall and boom installation), as well as the turning circle have necessitated the temporary closure to the public of the affected area for safety reasons.

Foot traffic onto the beach will be controlled depending on the work being done at the time, however iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority urges visitors to choose the northern beaches until the completion of the works.

Estimated completion date is the end of October.

Boats will continue to launch at Estuary Beach.

The marking out and clearing of the new entrance to Sugarloaf campsite opposite the Ski Boat Club entrance has also begun, but will not hamper traffic flow.
