ARE you an inspiring fashion designer and want to showcase your masterpieces to the world?

Enter the King Cetshwayo Designer Couture Competition to be held at the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre in Richards Bay on Saturday, 16 September.

Entrants are required to submit sketches of their design (story board), a fabric swatch of the design, a biography of less than 20 words on the inspiration for the work, a copy of the entrant’s ID and a short designer’s biography.

The biography must be neatly typed in English in Arial font, size 12.

The theme is ‘Soft Power’ (spring/summer colours), and divided into three categories – best menswear, best women’s wear and most creative.

Designs must be original and no purchased garments will be allowed.

The competition is hosted by the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre in association with the KZN Fashion Council.

Entries can be submitted from until Friday, 15 September at 5pm.

Entry forms can be collected from the Boardwalk Inkwazi Information and Tourism Hub, cut out of the Zululand Observer and Bay Watch newspapers or printed off e-mails.

The final showdown will be held Hub basement area in the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre.

The event starts at noon and entries can be emailed to marketing@boardwalkinkwazi.co.za or admin@kznfc.co.za.
