Lion alert in eShowe
According to Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife spokesman, Musa Mntambo a report had been received that two young boys had seen a lion
SOCIAL media was abuzz with news that at least one lion was roaming around the eShowe area over the weekend.
According to Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife spokesman, Musa Mntambo a report had been received that two young boys had seen a lion.
Officials have interviewed the boys and it appears that they may well have seen a lion, although a Caracal could also have been seen as they have similar colouring.
The boys also claimed they heard a goat bleating, as if in distress.
A resident in the area said he has lost one goat, but this had not been confirmed by Saturday evening.
Mntambo says Ezemvelo are investigating the matter and are, at this stage, unable to confirm or deny if a lion was in fact seen by the boys.
