Dumi Masilela’s murder, a shock to fans

The National Freedom Party (NFP) have send their deepest condolences to the family and friends

CONDOLENCES have been pouring in from all walks of life after the brutal murder of the Rhythm City actor Dumi Masilela.

From ordinary men on the ground to royalty, heartbroken television drama lovers, politicians and other leaders have expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues.

Dumi died under tragic circumstances after being shot during an attempted robbery in Tembisa on Wednesday night.

The 29-year-old actor was rushed to hospital, and was reported to still be conscious as family and friends rushed to his side.

After a five-hour surgery and all attempts to save his life, he was pronounced dead.

The National Freedom Party (NFP) have send their deepest condolences to the family and friends.

‘The death of a young talented person who inspired and motivated many young people in South Africa must not be taken lightly. This is a serious crime and we call for police to work tirelessly to find the perpetrators,’ said NFP’s Sabelo Sigudu.

‘Noting the recent escalating killings of innocent people in South Africa, the NFP calls for the government of today to further review the proposed referendum of death penalty in South Africa, we still believe the level of crime and murder can be dealt with.

Crime is now a matter of urgency in South Africa and is indeed robbing us on a daily basis. Our own country has become a danger zone for its own citizens. We call on the government to listen and implement systems so that we can fight crime.’
