Striking martial arts action in Richards Bay

Host Club dominate at home

THE Richards Bay Stingers Taekwondo Club collected the most points to win their own tournament, held at the Richards Bay Indoor Arena on Saturday.

The all styles martial arts tournament saw fighters from Stanger, Ballito, Empangeni, Aquadene and Richards Bay compete on the day.

Clubs that attended were Chang ung ryu Taekwondo, Hapkido Taekwondo, Ballito-Umhlanga, Empangeni Kick-boxing, Richards Bay Gojukai, Aquadene Funakoshi Karate International and Richards Bay JKA.

• Sajna Parmesaar (Bhudo Martial Arts) in the Tiger Female Division.

• Gabriel Strassberg (Bhudo Martial Arts) in the Senior Male Division.

• Francis (Gokukai Karate) in the Senior Female Division.

• Eddie Ogram (Richards Bay Stingers) in the Veteran Male Division.

• Roslyn Ogram (Richards Bay Stingers) in the Veteran Female Division.

Overall Club positions based on points

1 Richards Bay Stingers Taekwondo Club (Bruce Madura), 2 Martial Arts Academy (Valimeer Grachev) and 3 Bhudo Martial Arts (Timur Kumanov).
