TWO men have been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment at the Mtunzini High Court for murder, and an additional 15 years for robbery.

Mduduzi Luthuli (35) and Simiso Ndebele (32) robbed stokvel members and killed Thoko Dorack Hlathswayo in the Ezimangweni area near Nongoma.

‘On 5 December 2015 seven stokvel members were busy counting stokvel money in a house when they were approached by two suspects at gunpoint.

‘Hlatshlwayo (57) was shot and killed and the suspects took R78 000 from the house and fled the scene,’ KZN police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said.
