Five children seriously injured in bakkie crash near Mbazwana
The learners were being shuttled to school
FIVE children being transported in a bakkie to school sustained serious and critical injuries when the vehicle collided with a bus just after 7am this morning on the R22 near Mbazwana.
Paramedics from KZN Department of Health’s Emergency Medical Services stabilised them on the scene before rushing the patients, aged between five and 15, to the Mseleni Provincial Hospital.
None of the bus passengers sustained injuries.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the SAPS.
