Zululand unites in prayer for SA

Richards Bay, Mtubatuba and St Lucia participated in the 'It's Time' event

MANY Richards Bay residents made the trip to Bloemfontein for today’s Prayer for South Africa, but those who could not, united in prayer in a local service.
The moving service was held at the Richards Bay Community Church where leaders and congregants from a number of local churches met under one roof.

‘To pray God into our lives’, the community and country was the aim of the service as well as to pray for positive change and give thanks.

Apart from the Richards Bay churches joining forces, Empangeni’s AGS also held a service, as did the Mtubatuba churches and St Lucia residents whose gathering was held at their town hall.

‘Today’s prayer gathering was remarkable,’ said Regional Pastor at Judea Harvest, Caroline Pitout.

‘I believe it was a spiritual act of not only more than 100 people humbling themselves before the Lord, but also opening themselves up to be conduits of God in our town’.

‘Today was a miraculous act of hearts turning to obedience unto God, believing that change is possible through each individual.

‘I further believe today’s gathering marks change, not only for our town, but for our country as well,’ she concluded.
Evangelist Angus Buchan and his Shalom Ministries’ ‘It’s Time’ national day of prayer was held in Bloemfontein where organisers claimed more than a million worshippers gathered since the early hours of this morning.

Local services were designed to coincide with Buchan’s gathering.

Angus Buchan has a strong support base in Zululand as evidenced by the large number of Zululanders who made the trip to Bloemfontein.

Buchan visited Empangeni two years ago and drew large crowds from the region.
