Motorcyclist dies in Meerensee accident

A RICHARDS Bay resident died in a motorcycle accident in Meerensee on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at about midnight at the corner of Launder and Davidson Lanes.

Meerensee Community Policing Forum (CPF) members were called out shortly after the accident occurred, but the patroller found the victim already deceased.

Emergency services and police officers arrived shortly afterwards.

Richards Bay SAPS Communications Officer, Captain Debbie Ferreira, confirmed that a case of culpable homicide has been opened.

The exact cause of the accident is under police investigation.
