THE ten local mixed school teams competing in the second round of the Izingwe day/night 6-a-side hockey league on Friday at Felixton College, produced highly entertaining end-to-end action which resulted in 49 goals being scored in five matches.
The league is played every Friday afternoon on the mini astroturf at Felixton.
Teams in the U10 to U14 age group play one match of two 12 minute halves.
The finals of the league is scheduled for Friday, 3 March.

Sparkies beat Team Mustang 10-4. Richards Bay Christian School’s Reece Naidoo was the Player of the Match.
Mighty Minions beat Transformers 4-1. Richards Bay Christian School’s Johané Knoetzen was the Player of the Match.
Ninjas beat Jelly Beans 8-1. Richards Bay Christian School’s Paige Vorster was the Player of the Match.
Dynamic Dynamite beat Rascal 6-3. Richards Bay Christian School’s Khetha Mthethwa was the Player of the Match.
SS Squad beat Something Cool 10-2. Felixton College’s Nhlakanipho Ngubane was the Player of the Match.
