Bay High swimmers go the distance

Richards Bay High School learners took part in the weekend’s Felixton All Night Swimming event

NO fewer than 20 Richards Bay High School learners took part in the weekend’s Felixton All Night Swimming event.

Comprising competitive swimmers and matriculants, they completed plenty of lengths of the Empangeni municipal pool between 6pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday.

The Baatjies’ Team 1 bettered the record by completing 56.1km while their Team 2 ‘Drown and Sink’ group of non-swimmers managed a combined total of 37km.
