No repairs on shocking hospital road

Numerous requests to the local Department of Transport by various bodies have fallen on deaf ears

IF you are injured on the R66 / R34 between Nkwaleni and Melmoth, pray that you are not taken by ambulance to the KwaMgwaza Hospital for treatment.

This is not a warning about the state of the hospital or the ambulance service, but a warning about the road.

The road is almost non-existent and, while authorities did patch a few potholes, it remains in a shocking condition.

The road not only services the KwaMagwaza Hospital, but also the rural areas of Eyingwenya and Zimbube.

Numerous requests to the local Department of Transport by various bodies have fallen on deaf ears and have not produced any action.
