SEARCH efforts to find 28-year-old Pretoria resident Kevin Annandale, who went missing while swimming at a Sodwana Bay beach on Saturday evening, are still ongoing.
Annandale and two friends were caught in rip currents and swept out to sea.

His two companions managed to escape the deadly currents and swam to safety.
Annandale is presumed drowned.
‘Local iSimangaliso Wetland Park personnel, Ezemvelo marine officers and the SA Police Service activated a shoreline search that lasted into the night using search lights, but no sign of the missing man could be found,’ said the NSRI’s Craig Lambinon.
‘From first light on Sunday the search continued, with local dive charter companies and fishermen contributing to search efforts,’ he said.
The ZO can report that members of the Empangeni SAPS K9 Search and Rescue team joined the search on Sunday, but by Wednesday still had not been able to find him.
‘His family are being briefed by the authorities,’ Lambinon said.
‘The NSRI commends all those who have contributed to the search and to the ongoing efforts.’
