Don’t be slow, do the Mo

... are you mo'ing this Movember?

THERE’s more to the Movember movement that just the cultivation of facial hair.

Movember Foundation CEO Owen Sharp says the foundation is helping change attitudes towards men’s health.

‘The current state of men’s health is in crisis. Too many men are dying too young – on average four years younger than women. For men this isn’t good news and we need to talk about it. We need to act.

‘The Movember Foundation wants our men alive, well and enjoying life,’ he said.

The foundation raises funds to deliver innovative, breakthrough research and support programmes that enable men to live happier, healthier and longer lives.

Committed to disrupting the status quo, millions have joined the movement, raising more than £440-million and funding more than 1 200 projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention.

In addition to tackling key health issues faced by men, the foundation is working to encourage men to stay healthy in all areas of their life, with a focus on staying socially connected and becoming more open to discussing their health and significant moments in their lives.

Visit Movember.com and sign up to grow your moustache for 30 days, or sacrifice your beard, dye your Mo a different colour every day…. get involved.

‘Do anything to raise attention and raise funds,’ says Sharp.

The Foundation’s vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.
